Premortem bequest of Wim Wenders

My work for German director Wim Wenders was, in essence, to systematically sort his working material, to re-store it in boxes, and to create a database with all the necessary information.

For the storage and database systematics a sorting by the original title of his films and projects was chosen, as this corresponded to the documents, photographs and objects.

The only preserving actions were cleaning, smoothing and de-ironing of documents and exchanging very old plastic sleeves for paper envelopes.

The database (in English) has pre-defined search queries that can be started without the database's search engine. Some of the queries will open in a second window and can be operated parallel to the main database window.

The collection now is part of the archive section of the Deutsche Kinemathek – Museum für Film und Fernsehen in Berlin.
